I met with Kassandra from Purple Peony, her sister Liz from Styled Event Planning and the rest of their family on a very warm and sunny day a couple weeks back to get some family photos along with new head shots.

I just love this family.. but I especially love their kids Jake and Ted.

Met up with this uber adorable couple in the exchange district for some fun engagement photos. It turned out to be a gorgeous morning to roam around the exchange. Ben really felt like climbing and they nearly gave me a heart attack when they decided to pull Spider man and climb up the side of a building. Thankfully no one was hurt and we got some pretty cool photos.

Look out for their wedding taking place at Breezy Bend in late August!

Ahhh I loved this photo session so much!

It was a gorgeous warm day out, beautiful light and the best couple ever! These two are so obviously in love.. the kind of love that just makes everyone else around them smile. James is just smitten over his Jen and it shows, he was giving her kisses and making her laugh the entire session [ okay he was making me laugh and smile too]. These two are going to be so SO happy on their wedding day that it will make my job a breeze!

Jasmine and Cory are such amazing people inside and out! Ive had the pleasure of shooting Jasmine and Cory’s engagement photos last summer, they were laughing and smiling like giddy kids the entire time. They wanted to squeeze one more session in before their July wedding and we picked a chilly morning at the park. Actually, it started out pretty chilly but turned into a super sunny warm (ish) day. It was so nice to see them again and I am SO excited for their wedding!

Boudoir, What is it all about!?

Early on last year, This Sweet Love Photography started offering boudoir sessions and since then we have shot many of these sessions. Boudoir photography has quickly become one of my favourite type of sessions to photograph. I absolute love the entire process beginning with prepping for the boudoir session and most of all.. delivering the images!

So, What is a boudoir session? A boudoir session is an in-studio private session that involves showing a little bit of skin, lingerie, cute underwear, a glamorous outfit or maybe nothing at all! The session is about making you feel sexy in whatever it is you decide to wear [or not wear].

The session starts off with getting your hair and make up done by one of my amazing team members. The process of having your hair and make up done will leave you feeling incredibly confident and gorgeous. We will then start the session just getting yourself comfortable in front of the lens. By the end of the session you will be rockin it like a supermodel!

Why should you have a boudoir session done? Well, most women will have me photograph them so that they can gift an album to their soon to be husband. What is a better gift then one that just keeps on giving hehe.. no, but seriously.. Can you imagine your mans face as he opens up an album that is full of sexy, sensual photos of you?! Priceless! However, I encourage every women to have one of these sessions done! They give you a sense of confidence and empowerment like nothing else! They can capture that moment in time where you looked and felt absolutely gorgeous.

Laugh Love Cakes

I was so excited at the opportunity to work with Kayla over at Laugh Love Cakes because I had heard SO many fantastic things about her and her work. The cake she designed and made for me was just unreal.. it was so gorgeous and filled with details!

I contacted Kayla to help me create a birthday cake for my bestest friend Linda. I was throwing Linda a surprise birthday party and wanted something amazing for her. Linda LOVES pretty details so the cake had to be a show stopper!

The best part about this cake was that not only did it look amazing but it tasted even better! We tried Funfetti for flavour and it bright, fun and colourful and moist.

Perfection!

I don’t even think I need to tell you much about this shoot, it was perfect and I want the photos to speak for themselves.

Huge thanks to our friend and model Candace Wheeler for a) being completely drop dead gorgeous b) dealing with the frigid cold Winnipeg weather and c) being bit by a horse for us.

This Cherish the Dress session was a blast and I cant wait to do more in the future!

Max & Andy [Winnipeg Wedding Photographer]

A very quick impromptu photo session for these two love birds ended up being totally awesome and so much fun!

Maxine is such a beautiful person inside and out and I trust her with my life.. and my kids.. literally.. she is my nanny. My son Jacob is in love with Max. I felt it was my duty to warn Andy when he came by for a visit that he had some serious competition with Jacob.

We took these photos on Max’s birthday and the day before Andy had to leave to go back to the states.
