We can’t even begin to describe how amazing it was to be a part of the awesomeness that was June 3rd, 2012.
I (Noella) met Tessa and Dave towards the end of last summer and I was so captivated by Tessa and how drop dead gorgeous she was and how sweet and good looking Dave was that I asked if they would mind having their picture taken. It ended up being a super popular picture for me and everyone commented on how gorgeous they were. Fast forward to Christmas 2011. I had a photo shoot in mind that I really wanted to do and thought back to Tessa and Dave, asked if they would mind posing again and the pictures turned out amazing and everyone had so much fun despite the freezing temperatures!
Tessa works for a good friend of ours, Debbie Bessa of Glamorous Occasions. She loves her job as a wedding planner and anything wedding related! In January of this year, Dave came up to us at The Wonderful Wedding Show and asked both Michelle and I if we were up for taking pictures of the two of them and we of course said yes! But this was not an ordinary anytime shoot. Dave had an engagement ring and was brewing up a plan to propose Tessa in the most amazingly special way.
Together we tricked Tessa into thinking she was planning a spring inspiration photo shoot for This Sweet Love Photography. Tessa was having so much fun planning the photo shoot! We met a few times to go over the details, location, colors and props. All along, we were just letting her plan out her own engagement story. It was such a fun secret to keep!
All morning of June 3rd, Tessa was texting and sending us pictures telling us how excited she was to put together this photo shoot. Meanwhile we were just giggling because in the end the props we gathered, the weather and our nerves wouldn’t matter because the most important thing happening that day was that Tessa would become the luckiest girl in the world!
We drove out to the country and started to set up all of the beautiful handpicked props that Tessa had gathered. While Tessa was off gathering something we quickly slipped in a pink book. Inside of that pink book was a heart cut out of the pages with the most delicate gorgeous engagement ring. We started the photo shoot off like we would any other shoot. We shot a few bike photos and took advantage of the beautiful light. We had Tessa change into her dress and let her and Dave get comfortable on the picnic blanket. We could see Dave whispering to her and we knew it was time. We asked Dave if he would grab the pink book from the wooden crate and pretend like he was looking through the book. Once he opened it… Tessa gasped!!!
After Dave proposed and Tessa said YES they shared their first ever romantic kiss with the sun setting behind them. Tessa and Dave we are SO happy for you and are so honored and blessed to have been a part of this. We hope that you can show your children and your grandchildren these pictures and tell them the story about how incredibly romantic and sweet your David is. We simply cannot wait to photograph your wedding and witness the two of you joining your lives forever.
With SO much love.
